Hello. I’m a correspondent with APM Reports, the investigative team at American Public Media.
Previously, I worked for National Public Radio, where I was lead producer on the investigative podcast Taking Cover. Before that, I co-created and co-hosted No Compromise — another NPR podcast that won the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for audio reporting. I’ve also worked for the Scripps Washington Bureau, where I helped make Verified, and I covered guns and gun culture for Guns & America and KCUR in Kansas City.
My work has aired nationally on programs such as Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Here & Now, On The Media, The Takeaway, and NPR’s Embedded podcast. I’ve discussed my work live on MSNBC.
I’ve also written for organizations such as The Washington Post and USA Today. Before working in radio I was a newspaper reporter in Kansas and Michigan. Before that I served in the military.
